| I'm curious, what colour is your hair and do you colour it? My natural hair colour is some sort of a greyish-brown (think your average house mouse ash brown). I've been green, blue, purple, red, throughout my teenage years and early 20's and have only been either black, brunette or blonde since. My hair is now jet black but I'm thinking of going much lighter in the summer. I've worn my natural colour for 3,5 years and got bored of it 5 months ago, when I dyed it black. I've worn all kinds of hairstyles and lengths, so much that the people who don't know me aren't exactly sure it's me on old photos. Been very short, pixie and quite longish. My hair is now just over my shoulders and my shortest was about 2 years ago, when I was pregnant and hormones dictated everything. It's also very thin, soft and flat unless I backcomb (tease it) and I admire those full, gorgeous locks some women (and men) have. Luckily, it's not damaged because I make sure I take care of it between colourings, but nothing can give it real volume except a perm, which I'm also considering for the summer. Not the really curly one, I'd look like a sheep and that's not the best look for me. So, what's your hair like? What colour is it? How long? I was just reading some topic where women were complaining how big and thick their hair is and they want it straight and flat. Women....we're a funny kind. Me reading, craving proper, lasting volume and them complaining about it. Made me giggle. | |

| Interesting topic, Alara. My hair colour is dark blond. My husband says its red sometimes, to tease me because he doesn't like red haired women (sorry for any red haired woman or man on here). But I guess that sometimes I have a little bit of a reddish glow, have had that anyway in the past. Guess, my husband does like red hair, at least a little. I have dyed it lighter blond last summer, but don't dye it very often. My hair is a bit curly, and therefore a little bit dry. So Alara, no need to always be jealous of woman with curls. Always comes with dry hair! It's not very curly, just slightly and it depends a lot on the way it is cut and how long it is. To keep the curls a bit I recently have it cut at about shoulder length. | |

| Oh, have to share something with you. This is a very, very cool website. http://www.thescienceofpersonaldress.com/index.htm It's a fantastic read, a bit lengthy, but really interesting. At least to me it is, but I'm a geek. I hope you'll find something useful on it. On the hair colour section you can see the groups. I'm a 4 with my eyes being very dark too and my skin is fair. I like the contrast at times but I never stay the same for very long. Hope you like it! | |

Easy for you to say! I'm being silly, of course. I've read that women with curly hair have dry hair more often than not. Again, I wouldn't mind having dry hair! A friend of mine can wash her hair once a week, it's wavy and dry and she only washes it to get the hairstyling products out, not because it's oily. I have to wash mine every 3 days if I want it to look decent, LOL. I'm not complaining, everyone's different, but I am curious about what women do with their hair and how they do it. On that website, as you go through the links on the left and try to match your type (I'm still not a 100% sure about everything that matches me there ) you can figure out some pretty neat things.

| Just slightly curly is fantastic if you ask me! That's why I'm pondering the perm again. I'd love a bit of a wave. I think, with my hair, even if I went for a full blown afro it wouldn't stay like that. I don't want to sound too horrible. My hair isn't that bad and I'm grateful for the good sides that it has. But ever so often I go through a change inside and have to express it on my looks. With a lot of the bad stuff from 2011 being behind me now, I'd like to commemorate the new era. I'm silly like that. | |

| I'm thinking of this particular shade by Keune, for the following Spring/Summer: There's a very slim chance of me getting that exact shade, but I don't want to go much lighter than that. | |

| It's painful theme for me. My hair is oily, thin, without volume. I have to wash it every day or at list every 2 days. My hair is gone through various stages. I've been reddish, light brown, dark brown, black... I've never been blond, don't fit well with my personality. I have gone crazy for New Year. December 31, I dyed my hair platinum blond hair color. The problem is that my hair did not have uniform color before painting, it was half light brown (my natural) and half almost black, like dark, dark brown. Now I'm wearing THREE DIFFERENT COLORS on my head... Dark brown, dark blond and ORANGE. I don't mind because of orange, i like orange, fits me well, but THREE DIFFERENT COLORS?! Because of that example and many, many more similar ones, my friends think I'm blonde in the bottom of my soul. Next time I'll dye my hair in my favorite color, dark brown, fits well with my pale skin and blue-green-yellow-whatever eyes. | |

| It has so much information, so it's a bit mind boggling to start with but it starts to come together after some time. When I first saw it I thought I was one type, then another and another , but eventually I got to understand it a bit better. It's amazing it was all composed in 1985! | |

| It would have been nice if they would put names with the hair colours and skin colours. I don't know what honey blonde or champagne blond, and whatever else they mention in the questionnaire looks like! | |

It's difficult to know exactly what they mean because the colours shown on the table on page: http://www.thescienceofpersonaldress.com/hair_color_test.htm aren't very large and although there are some general rules, hair colour manufacturers often define their own colours. These might shed some light: http://www.latest-hairstyles.com/color/chart.html http://www.becomegorgeous.com/search-s1-q1-m1-a1-t1/pictures_of_different_types_of_blonde_hair_colors.html http://www.blonde-ambition.co.uk/blondeshades.shtml And I am oh so definitely going blonde soon, LOL!!!!!!!!!!
