This song he sang perfectly, like professional.
Lyrics Tonight the sky above Reminds me how to love Walking through wintertime Where the stars all shine The angel on the stairs Will tell you I was there Under the front porch light On a mystery night
I've been sitting watching life pass from the sidelines Been waiting for a dream to seep in through my blinds I wondered what might happen if I left this all behind Would the wind be at my back ? Could I get you off my mind This time(Lord, give me straight! )
The neon lights in bars And headlights from the cars Have started a symphony Surrounding Me The things I left behind Have melted in my mind And now there's a purity Inside of me
I've been sitting watching life pass from the sidelines Been waiting for a dream to seep in through my blinds I wondered what might happen if I left this all behind Would the wind be at my back ? Could I get you off my mind This time
I've been sitting watching life pass from the sidelines Been waiting for a dream to seep in through my blinds I wondered what might happen if I left this all behind Would the wind be at my back ? Could I get you off my mind This time

I like this song to... Beautiful lyrics. I feel like I have written that song expressing my own feelings.
Lyrics When the one thing you're looking for Is nowhere to be found And you back stepping all of your moves Trying to figure it out You wanna reach out You wanna give in Your head's wrapped around what's around the next bend You wish you could find something warm 'Cause you're shivering cold It's the first thing you see as you open your eyes The last thing you say as your saying goodbye Something inside you is crying and driving you on It's the first thing you see as you open your eyes The last thing you say as your saying goodbye Something inside you is crying and driving you on
'Cause if you hadn't found me I would have found you I would have found you
So long you've been running in circles 'Round what's at stake But now the times come for your feet to stand still in one place You wanna reach out You wanna give in Your head's wrapped around what's around the next bend You wish you could find something warm 'Cause you're shivering cold It's the first thing you see as you open your eyes The last thing you say as your saying goodbye Something inside you is crying and driving you on It's the first thing you see as you open your eyes The last thing you say as your saying goodbye Something inside you is crying and driving you on
'Cause if you hadn't found me I would have found you I would have found you
It was your first taste of love Living upon what you had
It's the first thing you see when you open your eyes The last thing you say as your saying goodbye Something inside you is crying and driving you on
'Cause if you hadn't found me I would have found you I would have found you I would have found you I would have found you

I like that one too. It's more rock style than others.
Lyrics I break, I borrow, I live, I loose I break, I'm hollowed, I'm dead, confused I'll find you
What is love and what's it for I'm stuck outside an open door And no one's come to get me yet I never got a second bet I'm welcomed to your fantasy If only she was make-believe Oh what is love and what's it for? Oh take me back and do me more Ooh take me back and do me more
I break, I borrow, I live, I loose I break, I'm hollowed, I'm dead, Confused I'll find you
Once you're here you're never gone Oh, once you're here you're never gone I fall from in out the cold A piece of me that I can't hold I love you as I loose you more I break outside this open door Catch me as I wash away Oh, catch me as I wash away Ooh, catch me as I wash away
I break, I borrow, I live, I loose, I break, I'm hollowed, I'm dead, confused
I break, I'm hollowed, I'm dead, confused I'll find you

I love them all too!
The Irish accent on "This Time", the practically auto-biographical significance of "Something Inside" and the break in "Break" with his sexy Elvis growl!

I just love the songs from August Rush. Thanks for the videos and the lyrics.
In that interview at the Abu Dhabi film festival Jonny said he was going to record something with his brother Ali (he didn't say it was with Ali, but from the rest of the interview it became clear he meant him). He said 'next year' then, but obviously in 2011 things all went a bit wrong for Jonny, so I guess it didn't happen. I still hope he will record a song with Ali; maybe somewhere this year?

I love Jonny singing. I have in my cell phone for incoming calls, the song Bach Break, and use, alternately, Samething inside and This time for the alarm clock. So, yeah, I love these songs and Jonny's voice. He is not a professional singer, but he sounds like one.

Gee, but it's hard when one lowers one's guard to the vultures But, me, I regard it a torturous hardship that smoulders Like a peppermint eaten away, Will I fight, will I swagger or sway? Hee hee, m'lady, she cries like a baby, scold us, See her tumbling down, see her tumbling down.
Hail to the monkey, we're having a funky reunion Wasted and sunk he can only have sunday communion He's got nicotine stains in his eyes. He's got nothing to protect but his pride. All smothered in kiss or be drowned in blissful confusion. See her tumbling down, see her tumbling down, See her tumbling down, tumbling down.

Baby's on fire Better throw her in the water Look at her laughing Like a heifer to the slaughter
Baby's on fire And all the laughing boys are bitching Waiting for photos Oh the plot is so bewitching
Rescuers row row Do your best to change the subject Blow the wind blow blow Lend some assistance to the object
Photographers snip snap Take your time she's only burning This kind of experience Is necessary for her learning
If you'll be my flotsam I could be half the man I used to They said you were hot stuff And that's what baby's been reduced to
Juanita and Juan Very clever with maracas Making their fortunes Selling secondhand tobaccoes
Juan dances at Chico's And when the clients are evicted He empties the ashtrays And pockets all that he's collected
But baby's on fire And all the instruments agree that Her temperature's rising But any idiot would know that

I don't think he sang this on the soundtrack, but he sang it in the movie, right?
Sebastian
Radiate simply, the candle is burning so low for me Generate me limply, can't seem to place your name, cherie To rearrange all these thoughts in a moment is suicide Come to a strange place, we'll talk over old times we never spied
Somebody called me Sebastian Somebody called me Sebastian Work out a rhyme, toss me the time, lay me, you're mine And we all know, oh yeah!
Your Persian eye sparkle; your lips, ruby blue never speak a sound And you, oh so gay, with Parisian demands, you can run-around Your view of society screws up my mind like you'll never know Lead me away, come inside, see my mind in kaleidoscope
Somebody called me Sebastian Somebody called me Sebastian Mangle my mind, love me sublime, do it in style, So we all know, oh yeah!
You're not gonna run, babe, we only just begun, babe, to compromise Slagged in a Bowery saloon, love's a story to serialise Pale angel face; your eye-shadow, and glitter is outasite No courtesan could begin to decipher your beam of light
Somebody called me Sebastian Somebody called me Sebastian Dance on my heart, laugh, swoop and dart, la-di-di-da Now we all know you, yeah!

I think so, it sounds like him. I think that he sang this and I'm 99% sure (I'm quite musical and have a good hearing):
... even if soundtrack list says the opposite. They say that this green- blue lizard creature is JRM.
Otherwise, he sang Baby's on fire, originally performed by Brian Eno, and Tumbling down, originally performed by Steve Harley. I can't stop singing "Baby's on fi-ire-e-e-e-e..."

I found this somewhere on the internet, I think that it was some Facebook page. The girl said that it was originally written by some fan inspired by Johnny. I don't know if it's true or false but the song is beautiful.

A short scene of Jonny singing A stroll in the park. From the Magnificant Ambersons. So sweet. Best moment in the film, just because it's so adorable to hear him sing this.

Audrey, as you said, he sounds sweet and adorable. Jonny has said that singing is not his thing, but there is no doubt, that he can do it really well.

this is not Jonny singing, but I thought it would be appropriate here. could have put it in the August Rush thread as well, but he, you have to make choices.
