| It seems like a bit heavy this story and role. i get a little unpleasend feelings about this. I don't think i would like to see jonathan in this role. I think for him a romantic comedy is nice to do we all know that he is good at playing drama. Now it's time for something lighter | |

I don't know much more about the book, but I might have been wrong. I actually don't really mind what role he plays, but hope it will be roles that will furthwr his career.

| And than people say that I'm the dirty one. Funny thing is that everyone want's to see him in a role that requires him to be naked eventualy. Don't treat him like a piece of meat, girls! As for me, I would like to see him in a comedy why not, but not a Hollywood type of comedy, I prefer British sitcoms and I think it would suit him well. | |

| Jellyfish, I also would like to see Jonny in a comedy, but he said somewhere, that he could not do this work. A lack of confidence? He is very talented, maybe a light comedy with touching moments. I know, the whole chain of events, good book, people who want to cast him, producer, director, and so on, but it would be nice, right? | |

I wouldn't necessarily want him to do a comedy either, just something lighter than the real dark stuff. That is possible without it being comedy, you know.

| ...I have to add, since I've succumbed to my curiosity and bought the book, doh! And these aren't my kind of reads either, but I must say I bought it 2 days ago, and I'm almost half way through it. As Anastasia Steele would say ...Oh my. Now I can see why others would think that Jonathan would be such a beautiful Christian Grey, but there is no way in hell he'd do this role, LOL, too much sex (or would he? lol) definitely rated R, much more graphic than Eyes Wide Shut, Showgirls, or any others put onto film. I think he's out of the race anyway according to new polls for casting, but If I were Anastasia and Jonathan was Grey I would've already signed that contract long ago ...just saying, I'm find of a freak like that though, lol. anyone else read(ing) it?

I usually read medieval/fantasy or sci-fi, so this is my first erotic read ever, and yes very poor writing, many punctuation errors, and agreed the plot doesn't seem promising so far either (I haven't quite finished the first book, and I'm already getting bored) Way too much sex, (gets old fast yeah) and too much head-trips/games between the two. I can't personally see this movie being successful, and now Angelina Jolie may be directing? It's a shame, there are way much better books out there that never become movies why this stupid one?

About Angelina: I think it's just rumors, she's an A lister and this movie is not her level. Besides, her first project was a disaster, I didn't seen it but I read reviews. The funny thing is that I got a similar idea in my head last october and started my research for inspiration and main data (that's how I ended on this forum, hehe, I watched Tudors a couple of years ago but I totally forgot about Jonathan). Then I thought that my idea is too stupid and banal and that noone would read it. I still think that the plot is stupid but there are too many unsatisfied women worldwide and book's selling like candies. Sex sells, its the rule no1. Second book is more into "vanilla sex" and the third one is all "hearts and flowers", if you know what I mean. Laters, baby!

| lmao, Jelly! Your grey gaze scorches mine. I flush scarlet, and look down at my hands. HAHAHA! Honestly, I can't stand Anastasia's character, she's too spineless for me. I've been waiting for her to do something extreme like beat him back into submission out of retaliation (I would enjoy it more then lol), but she's too much of a coward. So do they ever live happily ever after at the end like in the Disney Movies? hehe I'm most likely not going to buy the rest of the books. | |

Yes, I agree, she is spineless just like you said and I would never sign that contract. I'm too proud and love my freedom to become somebody's toy... Ohhh, she'll make him beg her right on his knees with his cute little puppy dog eyes The funniest part were her toughts in that moment, goes like this: Oh, my! There he is... Christian, the submissive!...or something like that - Quote :

Yes, yes, the only thing that makes difference between porn and 50 Shades of Gray is the fact that they actually got married in the end.

| The books of the millenium trilogy are real pageturners. The English movie adaptation is really good as well. Sticks to the book quite well, good acting and very suspenseful.
There are Swedish movies as well. They are good, well acted, but they do not follow the book as much, which I think is a pity.
